Last updated: 18 April 2026

This policy covers apotheora.ai, apotheora.com, apotheora.io, apotheocene.ai, apotheocene.com, and apotheocene.io ("our sites"), operated by the founders of this project ("we", "us"). We will update this with a company name once incorporated.

Apotheora and Apotheocene are operated by the same small founding team.

What we collect

We process the functional local storage, aggregate analytics, and first-party attribution data described below. We do not use cookies, ad networks, or cross-site advertising trackers.

Where your data is stored

Our sites are hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes network traffic transiently for security and performance purposes (DDoS protection, rate limiting). We do not store or log IP addresses in our own systems.

Who has access

Only the founders of this project. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party, except as described above (Cloudflare for hosting and analytics).

Local storage

Our site uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) for strictly functional purposes:

This local storage data stays on your device and contains no direct personal information. If you cast a monthly question vote, we also send the selected answer (yes/no) and the relevant month to our vote service so we can display aggregate totals. We do not send your name, email address, or account identifier with those vote requests.

Lawful basis: These uses qualify as strictly necessary for the service you have requested (PECR Regulation 6 exemption) and do not require consent.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which collects anonymous, aggregated traffic data (page views, referrers, broad geographic regions). It uses no cookies and is designed not to identify individual visitors.

We also log first-party campaign attribution when a visitor arrives with UTM parameters in the URL (for example ?utm_source=reddit). This records the campaign/source/medium values so we can measure which links and posts brought traffic to our sites. We do not use this attribution log to profile visitors across other sites.

How long we keep your data

Browser local storage remains on your device until you clear it. Aggregate analytics and attribution records are retained according to our infrastructure providers' storage settings and internal reporting needs.

Your rights

Most privacy requests relating to these sites will be limited to the local storage, analytics, and infrastructure processing described above. If that changes in future, this policy will be updated accordingly.

For privacy questions or requests, email legal@apotheora.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the date at the top of this page.
